These harnesses are used as an alternative method to powering HID ballasts taking power straight from the battery in a vehicle and using the OEM bulb plug to trigger the relay which provides enough power at all times for the HID lights to stay lit.

The motorized harness is included in all our HID motorized kits (H13-M2, H4-M2, 9004/9007-M2).  These harnesses are built with 2 mini relays inside the module to control the motor on the HID bulb which is the how the bulbs switch between low and high beam.

The HID DRL Harnesses were designed specifically as an option for vehicles having problems with daytime running light (DRL) power issues. They are built with relays that trigger at lower voltages and use battery power to turn on the HID lights.  DRL usually runs around 8 volts which is not enough voltage to power an HID ballast or an of the regular harnesses that we offer.  The relays on this harness trigger at around 6 volts and that should be enough voltage to power the HID Ballasts on DRL mode.
